Welding Units maintains comprehensive stocks of flange forgings in the fully heat treated and mechanically tested condition.
Material grades include:
- Carbon steels such as ASTM A105, ASTM A350 LF2, ASTM A694 Grades F52, F60 and F65.
- Low alloy steel to AISI 4130 (typically used for API 6A applications).
- Ferritic / austenitic steel to ASTM A182 F51.
In all cases, the base ASTM specification has been enhanced by means of chemistry restriction and additional mechanical / impact testing in order to achieve compliance with the more demanding offshore / subsea project specifications. All forgings are certified as a minimum to BS EN 10204:2004 type '3.1' level and in most cases to BS EN 10204:2004 type '3.2' level.
